Inside the church of St.-Margriete
There's no money to repair the grand organ.
But, in any case there's no one to regularly play the instrument.
Yes I agree the church looks fine.
But next time some repairs, on the roof for instance, are in order there will surely be no money for that either.
And so the repairs are scheduled for next year and then regularly rescheduled for the year after that.
As soon as some masonry falls from the roof the church will be closed.
St.-Laureins has five churches; this one is not a listed monument.
Repair at enormous expense for so few church goers or demolish ?
When that decision will have to be taken perhaps there won't even be enough money to pull down the old church.
And they will probably reschedule that too.
Sooner or later a big crane will be brought in to lift off the spire—the insurance premium you see.
